About Charissa & Awesome You
A Journey
of Self Love, Awakening & finding Empowerment
Have you ever felt like you weren’t enough? That you weren’t smart enough or rich enough or skinny enough?
What about your dreams? Did you ever push them off to the side because you were afraid of failure, rejection or complete criticism of what you were trying to do?
If you answered “YES!” to any of this, I’m with you.
I created Awesome You Because That’s What I Honestly Believe
YOU ARE AWESOME! You have a unique beauty and strength that you might just need a little help accessing. I know I did!
Hi, I’m Charissa Scott!
Like so many women, I consistently listened to negative self-talk that came from within myself. This negative voice followed me around and I was done with it. I realized that I had a firm belief that I was enough as I was, I just had to find out how to show myself that.
On a 10 year journey of Self Love and Awakening, I learned many different healing modalities and tools, worked with amazing teachers and had incredible experiences of growth, understanding and healing. I became a Reiki Practitioner and Trilotherapist, training with energy healers, intuitives, shamans, psychology students and a Zen Master.
As I became more aware of myself and my strengths, I also became aware of my inner empath. I observed pain and anger that so many people struggle and live with daily. I realized that I and so many others in pain needed to be heard and seen and loved. And that was it! They needed love!!
As I loved and empowered myself, I had more and more to give. With that, I realized my purpose: to help women and girls build self-love and become empowered to live amazing lives!
Want to know more about me?
While I grew up in a loving home, my family only knew how to love outwardly, not inwardly. So, as we focused on taking care of others instead of ourselves, we got burnt out, sick, resentful and angry with ourselves. We felt like our bodies or our emotions were letting us down. I grew up hearing, “I’m too fat,” “I never have anything to wear,” or “I’m too tired to take care of anyone else, let alone myself.”
When I was seven, I realized that I didn’t want to grow up to be a person who complains all the time and puts myself down. So, as an adult, I decided to make a change from the draining lifestyle that was inherent in my family. Now that I am the Mom to two daughters and a son, I want my children to know that they are “enough” and feel empowered as they grow into their beautiful bodies and brilliant minds. I have raised them to value loving themselves and to be resilient in the face of outside forces that would tell them otherwise.
To do this, I researched, studied and read everything I could get my hands on. Then, I took all the wisdom and tools I learned from so many teachers and teachings and applied them to build a better way of life for myself and my family that is centred in Self-Love.
